The row orientation for this vineyard is Northeast-Southwest. Chockablock utilizes Malbec, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon from Block House. Mill Race is a 35.57-acre vineyard located across the Napa River from Block House. The Cabernet Sauvignon planted at this vineyard is also incorporated into this blend. The growing degree days accumulated by Mill Race are typically 10% higher than at Block House. Mill Race also has a North-South row orientation, exposing the fruit to more sunlight, resulting in a different style of Cabernet Sauvignon compared to Block House.
